Drywall (English): dry wall (Spanish). Although the Drywall System was introduced in Peru in the mid-80s, it was only around 1996 - 1997 that it gained importance and that is why in recent years the construction with Drywall has grown rapidly and has gained much popularity in our environment due to to the great advantages it offers, compared to other types of prefabricated systems and traditional construction.
• Three times faster: 40 m2 / day vs 15m2 / day of brick • Economy by reducing execution times: 40% savings • Easy to incorporate in constructions with other systems • Resistant earthquake: calculated the forces, the type of profile to be used is selected to resist the required loads. • Versatile: adapts to demanding architectural forms, impossible or expensive in other systems. • High thermal and acoustic capacity, with complementary elements (double sheet with glass wool).
Immediate construction is carried out and they are used in the construction of partitions, walls, ceilings, ceilings, mezzanines and facades. We have a wide variety of measures according to technical specifications manufactured under the ASTM C645 standard and ASTM A653 certified steel.
Our PRECOR panels are provided with a protective plastic film that must be removed once the installation process is completed. This benefit keeps the panels free of stains, dirt and scratches in the handling, transport, loading and unloading of the material. The removal of this protection is important, otherwise the sun, moisture and weather will vulcanize the plastic film, sticking it to the paint layer and generating irreversible damage.
Panel cuts should be made with a metal cutting scissors or jigsaw with a metal cutting blade for thicknesses from 0.20 to 1.00mm. In the case of using a metal cutting saw or angular grinding wheel (procedure not recommended by PRECOR), it will be necessary to file the edge by removing the burrs or metal shavings generated and then proceed to puncture the exposed edge with a paint according to the conditions environmental aspects of the area and nuanced in the color of the panel if necessary.
Cleaning of PRECOR metal covers should be carried out periodically to avoid the accumulation and adherence of dust and impurities on the surface. The periodicity of the cleaning work is subject to the following considerations:
The following considerations should be reviewed for loose, deteriorated and / or missing screws, seals or butyl tape detached or deteriorated in longitudinal or transverse laps. In addition, the perforations produced in the metal plate should be reviewed due to inadequate traffic or impact of blunt elements. However, the most important thing is to check if there is corrosion produced to the covering by foreign metallic bodies deposited on the covering (screws, bald saw blades, pieces of plates, nuts, wires, metal shavings, etc.), omission of the drop cutter on the edges of the panels adjacent to the gutters, inappropriate use of fixing elements that could form a galvanic battery, inadequate cutting of the metal plate at the time of installation, inadequate installation of equipment on the roof, and stagnation of water, dust or other polluting agents due to the handling of slopes not recommended.
The metallic covers are not designed to receive intense traffic, so for the execution of inspections and / or maintenance work, the use of wooden planks should be considered in the manner of catwalks to evenly distribute the load produced by the personnel who carry out the tasks. installation and / or maintenance work. The planks should be placed, as far as possible, on the trusses of the structure and transversely to the trapezoids of the roof. Direct traffic will cause permanent dents or deformation of the panels.
In coastal areas, it is recommended to use slopes not less than 5%, the joints between panels not less than 15 cm. Additionally, in areas close to the sea, it is recommended to use pre-painted panels in both loads.
In the saw areas, it is recommended to use slopes not less than 20%, the joints between panels not less than 15 cm. Additionally, in extreme climates (rain or hail) it is recommended to use panels of greater thickness (0.60mm recommended).
In jungle areas, it is recommended to use slopes between 25% and 30%, the joints between panels not less than 20 cm. Additionally, in areas of high rainfall, it is recommended to use panels of greater thickness (0.60mm). Consider an analysis of interior acoustics.
The storage area for PRECOR panels must be on a level surface, flat and free from moisture. The packages must be supported on polystyrene blocks every 1.5m of distance, in order to avoid deformations in the metal panel. The polystyrene blocks will separate the flooring material between rows of metal panels. In addition, it must be covered and must not be stored in places exposed to vehicle traffic, falling objects on the panels or metal chips or welding.
